The main guidance with associated documents and activities was commissioned by Becta as a follow-on to the e-safety guidance for 14-19. It has not hitherto been published, and we gratefully acknowledge Becta’s support, advice and their written permission to publish under the auspices of Outstream Consulting (Outstream Limited, Company Number 04359695)

The guidance is extended by the Module 2 toolkit designated for conversion for use as interactive learning materials: Module 2.1 The pervasive influence of Web 2 v2, Module 2.1i The pervasive influence of Web 2 v2, Module 2.3 description of interactive learning materials, Module 2.3i The e-safety advice line, Module 2.3ii e-safety quiz v2.
Research (Module 3) included desk based research, collation of Becta’s own resources, reviews, advice and comments from an expert user group and a survey plus useful and relevant feedback on our glossary from a group of twenty five ICT PGCE student teachers. Relevant research documents are; Module 3.1 Becta e-safety resources and Module 3.1i Wider sources of e-safety advice. The FE & Skills e-Safety - ICT PGCE Students as Learners and Prospective Teachers survey and feedback is anonymised and available only on request. Expert User Group reviews are retained as confidential.
